Listen, this is not your beige ex-corpo employer’s summit.
This is not a boring Zoom-a-thon with overly appropriate smiles and corporate vibes.
We have the gay audacity to make it better. Obvs!
The Queer Joy Summit is giving best friend’s living room party at 2 AM. Shoes off. Someone shoves a mug of your fave drink in your hand. Someone’s Spotify playlist is playing in the background. Laughter is bouncing off the walls.
This queer party is where you don’t have to put on eyeliner unless you want to. It’s the kind where you can be 1,000,000,000% gayyy. Be messy, be brilliant, be complicated, be hot, be heartbroken.
Nobody flinches, nobody side-eyes.
The kind where you can spill about your Tinder/Bumble/What-have-you disasters one second and cry about your mom the next—and STILL be loved!
Because queer joy isn’t about “good vibes only.”
It isn’t about pretending everything’s fine.
It isn’t about faking it until you make it.
Queer joy is the glitter that sticks even after the tears.
Have you ever tried removing glitter?! Oh babe, glitter is forever.
Once it’s on you, it’s in your carpet, in your hair, on your cat, and mysteriously in your underwear six months later. And that’s exactly what queer joy is like. It sticks. It lingers. It shows up in places you didn’t expect, long after the party’s over.
The Queer Joy Summit is three days of exactly that kind of sparkle. The kind that clings. The kind that refuses to wash off. The kind that says, you are worthy of joy, even in the mess, even in the grief, even in the dumpster fire of the world.
You’ll hear from queer artists, healers, rebels, and dreamers who know joy is both survival and rebellion.
You’ll walk away with rituals, practices, and maybe even some new inside jokes to keep your joy alive.
You’ll be wrapped in a community that feels like chosen family.
We’re not here to hand you “5 easy steps to happiness.” We’re here to remind you of the joy that’s already yours. Messy, holy, horny, heartbreaking, hilarious joy!!!!!
Our queer joy isn’t optional, it’s sacred. It’s wild.
And once it touches you, it never lets go!
It’s a chance to live it, share it, and spark it in ways that ripple far beyond three days online.
This is queer church.
Queer cabaret.
Queer living room confessional.
You’ll learn from queer voices across disciplines…
artists, healers, storytellers, activists.
All offering their wisdom and their joy.
You’ll connect with community that feels like chosen family.
You’ll laugh, cry, and maybe even dance in your living room.
meet your guides, your co-conspirators
This isn’t your usual lineup of polished panels and stiff suits. These are queer artists, healers, rebels, and dreamers who embody the fierce, tender, and creative spirit of queer joy every single day.
They’ve laughed in the face of shame. They’ve turned heartbreak into art.
They’ve built chosen families out of chaos, carved softness from the spiral, and dared to imagine futures where our joy takes up space without apology.
They are your guides, your co-conspirators—your queer joy-bringers.
Come meet the voices who will laugh, cry, dance, and dream alongside you!
For too long, the world has tried to frame queer joy as extra, as indulgent, as something we’re “allowed” only once we’ve proven our worth, survived the worst, or squeezed ourselves into a box. We’re not doing that anymore!
This summit is a reclamation. A collective exhale. A reminder that joy belongs in our grief, in our rage, in our softness, and in the small, ordinary moments of our everyday lives.
This is not about escaping reality. The Queer Joy Summit is not about putting a rainbow-colored band-aid over pain.
Joy is how we resist. Joy is how we remember. Joy is how we imagine the futures that don’t exist yet—and then build them anyway.
Because joy doesn’t cancel out our struggles, it sits beside them. It sings through them. It holds our hands when the world feels unbearable. This summit is your invitation to remember that queer joy is not fragile. And neither are we! ;D
The Queer Joy Summit wouldn’t sparkle half as bright without the support of our sponsors. These are our community-builders who believe that queer joy is not optional, it’s revolutionary. 🌈
MEET THE HOST!
Colette is a queer therapist licensed in Utah, Arizona, and Idaho, and she’s spent her career helping people uncover the pieces of themselves that deserve more tenderness, more space, and yes, more joy.
She knows firsthand that queer joy isn’t just about celebration — it’s a lifeline. Through her work and her own lived experience, Colette has seen how laughter, creativity, and community can open doors where shame once lived.
When she’s not holding space in the therapy room, you’ll probably find her writing, creating, or finding new ways to bring a little sparkle into ordinary moments. Hosting the Queer Joy Summit is her way of saying: you don’t have to earn joy, you just have to come home to it.
Don’t just take our word for it!
Queer joy is best felt through the ones who’ve lived it!
It made me feel like I belong somewhere and made me realize I need to find my own personal queer community somewhere.
I loved the variety of personal experiences. It helps to create a map of so many ways other people have pursued their queer joy, and might be roads I can take or make my own. Different intersectionalities will always help me relate and embrace more aspects of myself.
I loved the first day! Every session spoke to a different aspect of my experience. It was a fantastic, strong start about connecting with me where I’m at. While not directly related to my experience, I loved the session by Erica Voegel (spelling from memory, so apologies if I’m off), she really is that Auntie vibe and set the tone for the next few days of how the summit felt for me. Big shout out there, I felt so empowered and comfortable, honoring our pasts as getting us here and embracing all the new aspects of now and tomorrow.
If you’ve ever needed a reminder that joy is yours (not after things get easier, not after you fit into someone else’s idea of “acceptable”) but RIGHT NOW, exactly as you are… this summit is meant for you! :3
Your questions answered
This summit is built by and for LGBTQ+ folks, centering queer joy. Allies who respect and celebrate queer joy are welcome, too.
Nope! Come cozy, come messy, come exactly as you are. Pajamas? Valid. Glitter eyeliner? Also valid. Camera optional ;D
Breathe easy, every session is free to watch for 7 days. If you need more time, you can always upgrade your ticket. 🙂
Not unless you sign up for their free resource!
When you register, you’ll be added to the Colette Dalton, LLC email list so we can send you updates for the event and links to each day’s presentations. After the summit is over, you’ll continue to hear from us, but you can unsubscribe at any time.
Each of the speakers will have free resources available that you can access by providing an email address, but the speakers will not get your email address unless you choose to give it to them specifically.
